Target Baby Formula Return Policy
Can You Return Without A Receipt?
If you meet the conditions for receipt-less returns, Walmart will accept restitutions of newborn formula without an original receipt within ninety days.
A legitimate government-issued picture ID (e.g., driver's license, visa, regional ID) is requested, which Walmart can use to monitor your restore transactions. If the return system approves your return, you can exchange the infant powdered dairy for another product, paying the extra if the new merchandise is valued more.
Furthermore, infant milk powder costing under $25 will be returned in cash, and goods worth $25 or more will be provided with Walmart purchasing or vouchers.
Unverified returns may not be accepted or credited at the price the item is currently selling for, even though the amount you paid was less.
Can You Return Expired Food To A Grocery Store?
You can, depending on your situation, return food that has expired to an grocer. In a case like this, it is crucial to have your receipt because you will be able to determine if the food can be returned. You can return the food if you bought it after its expiration date.
Expired food should not be on the shelves for purchase, so that fault lies with the grocery store. In situations like these, your receipt is necessary. It shows that the receipt was purchased after the expiration date.
If you purchased the product before it expired and this happened due to time in your home, you might not be able to return the item. Check with the local supermarket to find out their return policy.

Returning Baby Formula To Aldi
Aldi offers its customers 100% satisfaction instead of a detailed return policy.
If you are returning Aldi Little Journey baby formula and have a receipt, it should not be an issue. The 'twice-as-nice guarantee' will likely cover any product defect or issue.
The "Twice As Nice Guarantee" states that if an item is not satisfactory, you will receive a replacement and a full refund. Aldi, just like other shops in our guidebook, does not provide specific information about the return policy for baby formula.
Target Up and Up Shortage
Baby formula shortages result from "rising prices, supply chain shortfalls, and product recalls," according to Datasembly founder and CEO Ben Reich in a press release. Total supply is indeed up. According to industry insiders, the shortfall is more spotty, depending on location and specific product.
According to Datasembly, a retail data company, 31% of baby formula goods were out of stock across the United States in early April. In seven states, the out-of-stock rate is greater than 40%: Connecticut, Delaware Montana, New Jersey Rhode Island Texas and Washington. Manufacturers claim to be at maximum capacity but cannot meet the current demand.
Reuters reports that the Abbott factory reopened on July 1 and resumed production. FDA Commissioner Robert Califf stated in testimony before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on July 20 that "the countrywide shortage is a problem that will take some time to resolve."
The FDA reports that the current situation isn't as severe as the one during the height of the shortage of infant formula, when over 40% of formulas in the United States were out of stock. On November 20, approximately 12.5% of formula baby powder was out of stock nationwide. IRI data, a Chicago market research company, shows that this level is very close to the pre-shortage.
How else can you use the formula?
It can be annoying to have twenty empty cans of baby formula in the kitchen.

Baby formula is expensive, and I hate wasting things that I know other people could use, so I always try to donate what I can.
The formula I had left was donated to a woman who didn't have WIC and whose child used Similac Neosure. It's always a possibility.

Redcard members get 120 days instead of the standard 90-day return policy window.
Target's standard return policy allows you to return the majority of items within 90 days, regardless if you purchased them online, in store, or via Target Same Day Delivery. Target RedCard holders get 30 extra days to return items.
As for when the 90-day countdown starts, it depends on how you bought your items. If you shopped online or in the Target app and had your items shipped, your return window starts the day your order ships (aka the date listed on your Target shipping confirmation email).
But remember -- this is just the standard return window for most things you buy at Target. Some items have shorter or longer return periods, while others are not returnable at all. Don't worry, I'll dive into that more.
Does The Target Take Back Formulas?
Days from the date of purchase. All Target Circle members and Red Card holders have 120 days to return items from their original purchase date.
Target stores have some rules that you must follow when returning formula. One of them is to have the baby formula restored to the Target store unopened and unused. Otherwise, customers will receive a partial refund for their return. Furthermore, if a customer returns baby formula to Target without a valid invoice for the purchase, the store will pay the customer back with store credit rather than cash.
The Food and Drug Administration of the United States (FDA), has stated that retail stores in the United States can accept the return of infant formula. They fall under the category of food products, and returns are permitted. Finally, before returning the baby formula to the shop, you can contact the Target store or any other retail chain.
Can Walmart accept formulas that have been opened?
The short answer is no. Even though it is legal to return opened baby formula, the store will not accept it as a return. The policy was implemented to stop people from returning formula they've used.
The store may refuse to accept your return if you return an opened package. However, if the formula was purchased and had already expired, Walmart may make an exception and accept the return. Also, if the product is defective or damaged, such as a dented can or moldy, they will accept the return as well.
If They Say You Can'T Return Formula, Ask To Speak With The Manager
Many stores will accept returns at the discretion of their managers. Sometimes, a manager will make an exception for people based on the belief that you should always try to keep the customer happy.
Dollar General can call corporate occasionally to approve a refund in the computer. However, a store manager can only make this request so many times.
They may not accept your returns if you are a frequent returner. The policy also states that the store can deny any returned items. (I used to be a manager at Dollar General.)
